LAMBDA i10 Brown Device

Brown is the finish that makes most sense of what the i10 is trying to be. The leather-effect exterior reads as genuine leather in this colour more than in any other, and the result looks closer to a wallet or a card holder than to a heated tobacco device.

It’s also the most understated of the five. If you want the i10’s build without the device announcing itself, this is the one.

What you get over an IQOS device

Two things, and they’re why the i10 sells as well as it does.

Battery. 3200 mAh giving 35 to 40 sessions per charge, roughly double what an IQOS ILUMA i holder and charger manage between refills.

Adjustable heat. IQOS runs one fixed profile for every stick. This lets you set 200 to 300°C. Lower settings give a lighter, cleaner draw with delicate aromas visible, which suits Silver or a light citrus flavour like Yellow. Higher settings give denser vapour and more body, where Amber and Sienna come alive.

What you give up is the Philip Morris warranty. Lambda is a third-party manufacturer, so cover comes from the retailer rather than PMI, and there’s no app support. Our Lambda vs IQOS ILUMA comparison sets both sides out.

Where the i10 sits in the Lambda range

Lambda i8 is the aluminium value model with the same battery and temperature range at a lower price, covered in our Lambda i8 review. Lambda i9 adds an OLED display and a self-cleaning cycle. The i10 is the newest, in leather and the lightest of the three at 80 grams.

Using it

Charge it fully over USB-C before the first session. Insert a TEREA stick into the chamber up to the filter line without twisting, start heating, and wait for the ready signal before drawing.

Set temperature and session time through the device controls. Start in the middle of the range and adjust: raise the temperature if a flavour feels thin, lower it if it feels harsh or you want the aroma clearer.

What it can and cannot heat

It heats TEREA and other Smartcore sticks with an internal metal element, including SENTIA. Every TEREA edition works, including the Pearl capsule range, since compatibility comes from the induction mechanism rather than the flavour or market.

It cannot heat HEETS, which have no metal element for induction to work on. HEETS users need the blade-based Lambda T3 and CC or the IQOS Originals range. Both directions are covered in HEETS in ILUMA and TEREA in IQOS 3 Duo, with every model in the device compatibility guide.

Sticks to order with it

For a first device, Amber suits full-flavour cigarette smokers, Yellow suits light smokers, and Turquoise suits menthol smokers.

Edition affects price more than taste. Most customers buy the Kazakhstan range, on cost and for its five Pearl capsule flavours. Armenia is cheaper with a shorter lineup, Japan and Indonesia carry exclusives, and the official UAE edition comes in Arabic and English packaging. Everything sits in the full TEREA sticks range. Care in the UAE

Heat shortens lithium battery life faster than use does, and a 3200 mAh battery left in a parked car through an Abu Dhabi summer degrades sooner than one kept indoors. Keep it out of direct sun.

Use the supplied USB-C cable and avoid using the device while it’s charging. Induction devices don’t collect tobacco residue the way blade devices do, so there’s no cleaning routine.

The five colours

Does brown perform differently from the other colours?

No. Every Lambda i10 shares the same battery, heating, temperature range and features. Only the finish changes.

Is it real leather?

It’s a leather-effect finish rather than genuine hide, and brown is the colour where that texture reads most convincingly.

How many sessions per charge?

Between 35 and 40 from the 3200 mAh battery, roughly double what an IQOS ILUMA i delivers between charges.

Does it work with all TEREA sticks?

Is it an official IQOS product?

How do I clean the leather finish?

A dry or barely damp cloth. Don’t soak it, keep oils and solvents away, and keep it out of direct sun.

Can it heat HEETS?

No. HEETS have no metal element inside, so induction can’t heat them. The blade-based Lambda T3 and CC handle HEETS instead.
