LAMBDA i10 Purple Device

Purple is the richest finish in the Lambda i10 range. Deep rather than bright, it gains a lot from the leather-effect texture, which gives the colour a depth that a flat plastic or metal body couldn’t carry.

It’s the choice if you want a device that looks distinctive without going as far as the orange, and it’s the finish people most often comment on.

What sets it apart from an ILUMA

Not the heating mechanism, which is identical. Two other things.

Capacity. 3200 mAh gives 35 to 40 sessions per charge, roughly twice what an IQOS ILUMA i manages.

Control. An ILUMA heats every stick the same way. This runs 200 to 300°C on demand and lets you set session length between 3 and 6 minutes. If you’ve ever thought a menthol tasted harsh or Amber tasted thin, that’s a temperature problem you can now solve.

The i10 among its siblings

Three induction models sharing one set of internals. The i8 is the plain aluminium version at the lowest price, assessed in our Lambda i8 review. The i9 adds a screen and an automatic cleaning cycle. The i10 is this one: leather-effect, 80 grams, the newest of the three.

Running a session

Charge fully over USB-C before the first use. Push a TEREA stick into the chamber to the filter line, don’t twist it, start heating and wait for the ready signal.

Set your temperature and session length in the controls. Mid-range works as a default, and from there it’s simple: up for body, down for clarity and aroma.

Stick compatibility

Every TEREA edition works, along with SENTIA and other Smartcore sticks. That includes the Pearl capsule range, because the device responds to the metal element inside a stick, not to which market printed the pack.

What doesn’t work is HEETS. Without a metal element there’s nothing for induction to heat. The blade-based Lambda T3 and CC or the IQOS Originals range cover HEETS. Which TEREA to buy with it

Storage and upkeep

Keep it cool. A 3200 mAh battery in an Abu Dhabi car through July ages faster than one that lives indoors, and heat does more damage than heavy use.

Use the supplied USB-C cable, don’t smoke while it charges, and skip cleaning entirely: nothing inside ever meets tobacco.

How bright is the purple?

Does it perform differently from the other colours?

No. Every Lambda i10 shares the same battery, heating, temperature range and features.

How many sessions per charge?

Between 35 and 40 from the 3200 mAh battery, roughly double what an IQOS ILUMA i delivers between charges.

Does it work with all TEREA sticks?

Yes. Compatibility comes from the induction mechanism rather than the flavour or market, so every edition works, including the Pearl capsule range.

Is it an official IQOS product?

No. Lambda is a third-party manufacturer, so there’s no Philip Morris warranty. Any cover comes from the retailer.

How do I clean the leather finish?

A dry or barely damp cloth. Don’t soak it, keep oils and solvents away, and keep it out of direct sun.

Can it heat HEETS?

No. HEETS have no metal element inside, so induction can’t heat them. The blade-based Lambda T3 and CC handle HEETS instead.
