Amber is the best-selling TEREA flavor in every market that carries it, and this page collects every version we stock in one place. Roasted tobacco, balanced and mellow, with light woody and nutty aromas and nothing added: no menthol, no fruit, no sweetener.
We carry Amber in three editions, and they differ in two ways that matter. Price, which varies by a wide margin, and tuning, which varies a little. Everything below explains both so you can pick the right pack rather than the first one you see.
What Amber tastes like
Roasted tobacco leads. A woody layer sits behind it, and a soft nuttiness runs underneath with a light malty sweetness that shows up at the end of a draw. That sweetness is the tobacco’s own; nothing has been added to create it.
The aroma is warm and toasted rather than sharp, and it clears from a room quickly. Amber is among the most discreet flavors in the entire TEREA catalogue, which is part of why it works as an all-day stick rather than an occasional one.
Across a session the profile holds flat, and that consistency is the point of this flavor. The opening draws deliver the roasted body with a clean throat sensation and none of a cigarette’s harshness. The middle is where the woody and nutty layers separate. The final third stays steady instead of drying out or turning bitter, finishing lightly malty with nothing left coating the palate.
The quality regular users describe is low fatigue. Six Ambers across a day still register properly, where six of something heavier or sweeter would not.
Why Philip Morris calls it mild and users call it medium
Amber sits in the Classic blend range under a mild descriptor, yet most reviewers place it at medium or above. Both are accurate, and the gap confuses a lot of first-time buyers into skipping it.
The official label rates the blend: how smooth or bold the tobacco is. Amber is built smooth, with none of the dryness of Teak or the weight of Japan’s Rich Regular. What users are describing is satisfaction, which is a different measurement built from throat sensation, aroma and how fully the flavor occupies a session.
Nicotine plays no part in either. Every TEREA stick in every edition carries 0.5mg, so no flavor is stronger than another in that sense.
Mild on a TEREA pack means smooth, not weak. Amber delivers enough presence to replace a cigarette, which is exactly why it outsells everything else.
The three Ambers we stock
Same Classic blend, three market tunings, three prices.
Amber from the UAE is the official local release, in Arabic and English packaging with UAE health warnings, priced at official RRP. It’s the cleanest of the three: the roasted, woody and nutty notes stay distinct from each other rather than blending together, which is why it reads as refined. The right choice if you’re gifting, if packaging language matters, or if you want the version sold through official channels here. Part of the UAE edition range.
Amber from Kazakhstan is the fullest. Reviewers consistently describe a cocoa-like depth and a trace of dried fruit that the other two don’t have, and it’s the most consistent from pack to pack. It costs less than the UAE version, and it comes from the edition with sixteen flavors including all five Pearl capsules, so it’s the one to choose if you want room to explore beyond Amber.
Amber from Armenia is the cheapest Amber we sell and the smoothest tuning of the three, slightly sweeter and more rounded, with the notes blending into one another rather than standing apart. Some Amber drinkers prefer exactly that; others find it a touch soft and go back to Kazakhstan. It sits in the six-flavor Armenian range, which carries only proven sellers.
The price differences come from tobacco excise in each source market, not from anything inside the pack. The UAE applies 100% excise plus VAT; Armenia and Kazakhstan tax far less, so the identical product retails lower at source. The full explanation is in why imported TEREA costs less, and how the five editions differ overall is in the TEREA edition comparison.
Which Amber should you buy?
If price is the priority and you buy Amber by the carton every month, Armenia. The saving compounds on a daily flavor in a way it never does on an occasional one.
If you want more body, Kazakhstan. It’s the one Amber drinkers describe as most satisfying, and it’s barely above the Armenian price.
If packaging language matters, or the pack is a gift, or you want zero questions about provenance, the UAE version.
Anyone genuinely undecided should buy one pack of Kazakhstan and one of Armenia and compare. That costs less than a single UAE carton and settles it permanently.
Where to go from Amber
Amber is the reference point everything else gets measured against, which makes it the easiest place to navigate from.
Want more body: Sienna is drier and woodier with a tea-like depth, and Teak is stronger still with a peppery finish. Want warmth and sweetness rather than dryness: Bronze brings cocoa and dried fruit forward. Want something lighter: Yellow keeps the tobacco character with a citrus lift and less weight, and Silver does the same with a spicy-herb aroma instead.
Want cooling: Turquoise is Amber’s equivalent on the menthol side, the reference point of that family. Want the flavor to change mid-session: the Pearl capsule range does that, and Kazakhstan carries five of them.
Every flavor we stock is on the TEREA flavors page, and the complete catalogue sits in the full TEREA sticks range.
Specs and devices
Every Amber stick, whichever edition, carries 0.5mg nicotine and gives up to 14 puffs across roughly a 6-minute session. Packs hold 20 sticks, cartons hold 200 across 10 packs, and cartons always cost less per stick.
Amber works in any induction device: IQOS ILUMA One, Standard and Prime, the ILUMA i series, and Lambda i8, i9 and i10. It will not heat in the IQOS 3 Duo, Originals models, lil Solid, Lambda T3 or Lambda CC, which are blade devices built for HEETS. The reason is explained in how TEREA sticks work, and every model is listed in the device compatibility guide. There’s no regional lock, so any edition of Amber runs in any compatible device.
Since Amber is the flavor most people buy in bulk, storage is worth a thought. Keep cartons out of direct sun and away from heat; a carton left in a car through an Abu Dhabi summer dries out faster than anything else you can do to it.
Delivery
Every Amber edition we stock is held in Abu Dhabi with delivery inside 1 hour across the city, and same-day service to Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Cash on delivery available, free delivery above 200 AED.
Frequently asked questions
Which Amber edition tastes best?
Kazakhstan for fullness, UAE for clarity, Armenia for smoothness. There’s no consensus best because they’re tunings of one blend rather than different qualities. Most people who try more than one develop a clear preference within a pack.
Is Amber strong enough for a full-flavor cigarette smoker?
Yes. It’s the flavor most cigarette smokers switch to first and stay with. The mild label refers to the blend being smooth rather than lacking strength.
Does Amber have menthol or fruit in it?
Neither. It’s roasted tobacco with natural woody and nutty aromas and nothing added. Turquoise is the menthol equivalent, Purple the fruit-and-menthol option.
Amber or Sienna?
Amber is rounder and nuttier, Sienna drier and woodier with tea-like notes. Reviewers split on which is stronger, so they’re better understood as neighbours than as steps on a ladder. If Amber starts feeling too smooth, Sienna is the natural next pack.
Why is the same Amber cheaper in some editions?
Tobacco tax in the market each pack was made for. The stick, the tobacco and the Smartcore element are the same everywhere.
Can I mix Amber editions in the same device?
Yes. Nothing in the device responds to which market a stick came from, and plenty of customers keep a cheaper carton for daily use and a UAE pack for guests.
