LAMBDA i10 Device

LAMBDA i10 Device

Showing all 5 results

The Lambda i10 is the newest device in the Lambda range and the one that looks least like a gadget. Wrapped in a leather-finished exterior and weighing 80 grams, it keeps the 3200 mAh battery and adjustable heating of the rest of the range while trading the technical look for something closer to an accessory.

Up to 40 sessions per charge, temperature adjustable from 200 to 300°C, session length from 3 to 6 minutes, and full compatibility with every TEREA edition we stock.

We carry it in Brown, Green, Navy, Orange and Purple, with delivery within 1 hour in Abu Dhabi and same-day across the UAE.

What’s different about the i10

Lambda’s earlier induction models are built in aluminium alloy and read as technical objects. The i10 takes the same internals and wraps them in a leather-style finish, which changes the experience in two ways.

It feels different in the hand. A leather-effect surface has grip that brushed metal doesn’t, and it doesn’t turn cold or hot to the touch the way a metal body does when it’s been sitting in a car or an air-conditioned room.

And it’s lighter. At 80 grams the i10 is the lightest device in the Lambda induction range, marginally under the i8 at 83 grams, with a compact 102.8 x 28.9 x 20.8 mm footprint.

What hasn’t changed is the part that matters: the same 3200 mAh battery, the same 200 to 300°C range, the same adjustable session length, and the same induction heating that works with any Smartcore stick.

Why adjustable temperature is worth having

This is the feature that separates every Lambda induction device from official IQOS hardware, and it’s worth understanding rather than skimming past.

IQOS devices run one fixed heating profile for every stick. The i10 lets you set anywhere between 200 and 300°C, and the difference is audible in the flavour.

Lower settings give a lighter, cleaner draw where delicate aromas stay visible. That suits Silver with its spicy-herb notes, or a light citrus flavour like Yellow whose brightness gets buried at higher heat.

Higher settings give denser vapour and more body, which is where full tobacco flavours like Amber and Sienna come alive.

Session length works the same way: three minutes when you want something quick, six for a full session, rather than the fixed cycle official devices run.

If you smoke one flavour and never think about it, none of this matters. If you rotate across editions, it’s the reason to buy Lambda.

The i10 against the rest of the Lambda range

Five Lambda models, and they don’t all do the same job.

Lambda i8 is the established induction model in aluminium alloy: same battery, same temperature range, same compatibility, at the lowest price of the three. The value pick, covered in our Lambda i8 review.

Lambda i9 adds an OLED display showing temperature, battery and session time, plus an automatic self-cleaning cycle.

Lambda i10 is the newest, in a leather finish and the lightest of the three.

Lambda T3 and Lambda CC are blade devices for HEETS, not induction devices for TEREA. They carry the Lambda name and will not heat a TEREA stick, which catches people out regularly. Check which you’re buying.

The full range is on our Lambda devices page.

Lambda or official IQOS

We sell both, so here’s the honest comparison.

Lambda gives you roughly double the battery capacity, at 35 to 40 sessions per charge against around 20 on an IQOS ILUMA i holder and charger. It gives you adjustable temperature and session length where IQOS is fixed. And it usually costs less than an official device of comparable capability.

IQOS gives you Philip Morris hardware with a manufacturer warranty behind it, currently 24 months on the ILUMA i range. Lambda carries no PMI warranty at all, so whatever cover exists comes from the retailer. Official devices also get app support and firmware updates, which Lambda has no equivalent of.

Both use the same induction principle on the metal element inside a TEREA stick, so the heating mechanism is genuinely identical and any TEREA edition works in either. Our Lambda vs IQOS ILUMA comparison covers this in full.

The five colours

All five are the same device, and the leather-effect finish suits colour better than a metal body would.

Brown is the classic leather tone and the most understated. Navy is the dark neutral alternative to black. Green is muted and natural. Purple is the rich, distinctive one. Orange is the boldest of the five.

Setting it up

Charge it fully before first use, which takes around 2.5 hours over USB-C. Insert a TEREA stick into the chamber up to the filter line without twisting, then start heating and wait for the ready signal before drawing.

Set the temperature and session time through the device controls. Start in the middle of the range and adjust from there: raise the temperature if a flavour feels thin, lower it if it feels harsh or you want the aroma clearer.

The heating mechanism is the same as any ILUMA device, explained in how TEREA sticks work, and stick specifications are in how many puffs are in a TEREA stick.

What it can and cannot heat

The i10 heats TEREA and other Smartcore sticks that carry an internal metal element. Every TEREA edition we stock works in it, because compatibility comes from the induction mechanism rather than from the flavour or the market a pack was made for. That includes the Pearl capsule range.

It cannot heat HEETS, which have no metal element for induction to work on. HEETS users need the blade-based Lambda T3 and CC or the IQOS Originals range. Both directions are covered in HEETS in ILUMA and TEREA in IQOS 3 Duo, with every model listed in the device compatibility guide.

Sticks to buy with it

We stock all 75 TEREA flavours across five editions, and adjustable temperature makes exploring them more rewarding than it is on fixed-profile hardware.

For a first device, Amber suits full-flavour cigarette smokers, Yellow suits light smokers, and Turquoise suits menthol smokers.

Edition affects price more than taste. Most customers buy the Kazakhstan range, on cost and for its five Pearl capsule flavours. Armenia is cheaper with a shorter lineup, Japan and Indonesia carry exclusives, and the official UAE edition comes in Arabic and English packaging. The reason for the price gap is in why imported TEREA costs less, and every flavour is on the TEREA flavors page.

Care in the UAE

Heat shortens lithium battery life faster than use does, so keep the device out of parked cars and off dashboards through the summer.

The leather-effect exterior needs slightly more thought than a metal body. Wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth rather than anything wet, keep it away from oils and solvents, and don’t leave it in direct sun, which fades finishes of this type faster than it damages metal.

Use the supplied USB-C cable and avoid using the device while it’s charging.

Frequently asked questions

What’s new about the i10 compared with the i8 and i9?

The leather-effect exterior and a slightly lighter 80 gram body. The battery, temperature range, session control and TEREA compatibility are the same across all three.

How many sessions per charge?

Between 35 and 40 from the 3200 mAh battery, which is roughly double what an IQOS ILUMA i delivers between charges.

Does it work with all TEREA sticks?

Yes. Compatibility comes from the induction mechanism rather than the flavour or market, so every edition works, including the Pearl capsule range.

What does adjusting the temperature do?

Lower settings give a lighter draw with delicate aromas more visible. Higher settings give denser vapour and more body. It’s the main practical reason to choose Lambda over fixed-profile IQOS hardware.

Is it an official IQOS product?

No. Lambda is a third-party manufacturer, so there’s no Philip Morris warranty. Any cover comes from the retailer, which is worth confirming wherever you buy.

How do I clean the leather finish?

A dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid soaking it, keep oils and solvents away from it, and keep it out of direct sun.

Can it heat HEETS?

No. HEETS have no metal element inside, so induction can’t heat them. The blade-based Lambda T3 and CC handle HEETS instead.
