IQOS lil Solid Stone Grey Device
lil SOLID isn’t an IQOS device, and that’s the first thing worth knowing about it.
It’s made by KT&G, the South Korean tobacco company, and distributed in many markets by Philip Morris International. So it sits alongside IQOS rather than inside it, uses a different heating method, and takes different sticks. Most listings blur that line. We’d rather set it out.
It works with Fiit sticks, which are KT&G’s own line, and with HEETS. It does not work with TEREA. We stock the lil SOLID 2.0 in Cosmic Blue and Stone Grey, and the lil SOLID EZ in Black, Blue, Mint, Rose Gold and White, with delivery within 1 hour in Abu Dhabi.
Pin heating, not blade heating
This is the technical difference that shapes everything else about the device.
IQOS blade devices like ORIGINALS DUO use a flat ceramic blade that slides into the stick. lil SOLID uses a steel heating pin instead, which is narrower and considerably more robust.
Ceramic blades crack. It’s the most common way an IQOS blade device dies, usually from a stick being twisted on removal. A steel pin doesn’t fail that way, and it’s the single strongest argument for lil SOLID over official IQOS blade hardware.
The pin heats the tobacco to around 350°C from the inside, producing an aerosol rather than smoke. Preheating takes about 25 seconds.
The removal technique that’s the opposite of IQOS
Worth reading twice, because getting this wrong on either device causes problems.
On an IQOS blade device, you pull the stick straight out. Twisting it cracks the ceramic blade.
On lil SOLID, you do the reverse: rotate the stick more than three times in one direction, then pull it out. The rotation keeps tobacco residue from staying behind in the chamber, and the steel pin is built to take it.
Anyone moving between the two devices needs to keep those habits separate. It’s the most common mistake among people who own both.

The battery is the headline
Twenty-five sticks per charge is more than any comparable device manages, and the gap isn’t small.
Both IQOS ORIGINALS DUO and ORIGINALS ONE give around 20. The older lil SOLID did the same. At 2950 mAh, the 2.0 pushes past a full pack of sticks on a single charge, which is why it appeals to heavy users specifically.
Three consecutive uses come as standard. After the third, the device runs an automatic cooling cycle of about three and a half minutes, after which you can run another three in a row. That cooling period isn’t a fault or a limitation; it’s how the pin manages heat between back-to-back sessions.
lil SOLID 2.0 or lil SOLID EZ
The EZ is the simplified, lighter variant of the same idea, and the practical differences are small.
Both are all-in-one devices with pin heating, both take Fiit and HEETS, both give around 25 sessions per charge, and both manage three consecutive uses. The EZ charges faster, at roughly 90 minutes against the 2.0’s two hours, and it’s the more colour-led of the two, sold in finishes like Mint and Rose Gold that the 2.0 never carried.
If you want the fuller specification and the larger stated battery, the 2.0. If you want faster charging and more finish options, the EZ. Neither heats differently from the other.
The lights
Straightforward, and worth knowing before you need them.
Solid blue means ready to use. Blinking blue means the device is heating, and on the 2.0 that blink is described as ice blue, arriving with a vibration. Red means low battery or an error.
If the device doesn’t respond at all, charge it first. If it still doesn’t, reset by holding the button for eight seconds. And if it’s brand new and appears dead, that’s normal: lil SOLID ships in sleep mode and needs waking, either by holding the button for two seconds or by connecting the charger.
Cleaning
Pin heating collects less residue than a ceramic blade does, but it still collects some. The device isn’t self-cleaning, and letting residue build up costs flavour quality the same way it does on any blade device.
Use the included brush or cleaning tool every few sessions. The rotate-before-removal habit described above also helps significantly, since it stops tobacco staying behind in the chamber in the first place.
We stock cleaning accessories including cleaning sticks, liquid cleaner and the Elio electronic cleaning tool, and our guide to cleaning an IQOS device covers technique that applies to any pin or blade device.
What it cannot use
TEREA and DELIA. Both are SMARTCORE sticks built for induction heating, carrying a metal element inside rather than tobacco meant to be pierced. Putting one into a pin device risks damaging the device.
If TEREA is what you want, you need an IQOS ILUMA, ILUMA i or a Lambda induction device. HEETS in ILUMA and TEREA in IQOS 3 Duo explains why the systems can’t cross, and the device compatibility guide lists every model.
Fiit sticks, and why they exist
Fiit is KT&G’s own stick line, designed specifically for lil SOLID, and it’s the range the manufacturer recommends for best performance and device longevity.
The line runs across several profiles, including Regular, Regular Deep, Marine, Alpine, Spring and Velvet, with periodic special editions. HEETS work in the device too, and some users prefer them for being more densely packed with tobacco.
There’s no wrong answer between the two. Fiit is tuned for the device; HEETS is what most UAE users already know.
Considering TEREA instead
If you’re weighing up the move, the honest comparison is this: induction devices need no cleaning at all, because nothing inside them touches tobacco. Neither pin nor blade devices can claim that.
TEREA also runs to 75 flavours across five editions, including the Pearl capsule range that neither Fiit nor HEETS has an equivalent of. Our guide on what the HEETS phase-down means for UAE users covers the wider picture, and how TEREA sticks work explains the mechanism.

Frequently asked questions
Is lil SOLID an IQOS device?
No. It’s made by KT&G, a South Korean tobacco company, and distributed by Philip Morris in many markets. It uses pin heating rather than the ceramic blade IQOS ORIGINALS devices use, and it takes different sticks.
Which sticks work in it?
Fiit, which is KT&G’s own line and what the manufacturer recommends, and HEETS. TEREA and DELIA do not work and can damage the device.
How do I remove a used stick?
Rotate it more than three times in one direction, then pull it out. This is the opposite of IQOS blade devices, where twisting cracks the ceramic blade. The rotation stops tobacco residue staying in the chamber.
How many sticks per charge?
Up to 25 on the 2.0, which is more than any IQOS ORIGINALS device manages. Three consecutive uses, then an automatic cooling cycle of about three and a half minutes.
Why won’t my new device turn on?
It ships in sleep mode. Hold the button for two seconds or connect the charger to wake it for the first time.
What does a red light mean?
Low battery or an error. Charge it first, and if it still doesn’t respond, reset by holding the button for eight seconds.
Does it need cleaning?
Yes, though less than a ceramic blade device. Use the included brush every few sessions, and rotate sticks before removal to reduce residue in the first place.
2.0 or EZ?
Both heat identically and take the same sticks. The 2.0 has the larger stated battery specification; the EZ charges faster at around 90 minutes and comes in more colour options.
