Yellow is the light end of the tobacco range: smooth, mild, with a citrus aroma that brightens it without turning it into a fruit stick. Every version we stock is collected here so you can compare editions and prices in one place.
Before anything else, the thing that catches most people out. Yellow is not a menthol flavor and it does not taste of lemon. The citrus is an aroma note sitting over tobacco, the way a squeeze of lemon lifts a dish without making it a lemon dish. If you want cooling, Turquoise is the flavor you’re looking for.
What Yellow tastes like
Light toasted tobacco leads, a soft citrus brightness sits over it, and a faint natural sweetness runs underneath. That’s the whole composition, and its simplicity is the appeal.
The aroma is clean and mild, among the most discreet flavors we sell alongside Amber and Silver. If you use TEREA at work or around other people, that matters as much as the taste.
Through a session the emphasis shifts. The opening draws are the brightest, with the citrus at its most noticeable. The middle fills out as the tobacco takes over and the citrus recedes. The final third is the most tobacco-forward stretch, finishing short and clean with no dryness and nothing left on the palate.
Being light has a practical payoff most people don’t think about until they’ve owned a carton. Yellow survives repetition better than anything heavier: six across a day still register properly, where six Teaks would flatten your palate by mid-afternoon.
Who Yellow is actually for
Two groups end up here, and they arrive from opposite directions.
The first smoked light or ultra-light cigarettes and want the closest honest match. Yellow is it, and it’s the flavor that makes the switch feel natural rather than like a jump to something heavier.
The second already uses TEREA and found Amber slightly more than they want at 8am or during a working day. Yellow becomes the morning and daytime stick while something fuller handles the evening. That rotation is common enough that plenty of customers buy both by the carton.
Who it isn’t for: anyone coming off full-flavor cigarettes. Yellow will feel thin, and you’ll be better served starting at Amber and keeping Yellow for lighter moments once you’ve settled in.
Yellow, Silver or Amber
These three are the light-to-medium tobacco options, and they’re different in kind rather than in strength.
Yellow leans citrus. Silver leans herbal, a mild toasted blend with spicy-herb aroma notes at a similar weight, and it has no menthol either despite the name. Amber is the step up in body, roasted and nutty and rounder than both.
Choosing between Yellow and Silver comes down to which aroma you prefer, not which is stronger. Choosing between Yellow and Amber is a question of weight. If you want warmth and sweetness instead of brightness, Bronze takes it toward cocoa and dried fruit, and if you eventually want the fullest tobacco, Sienna is where that ends up.
The Yellows we stock
Yellow appears in three of our five editions, sharing one blend concept with slight batch tuning per market and a wide gap in price.
Yellow from the UAE is the official local release, in Arabic and English packaging with UAE health warnings, priced at RRP. The version to choose if the pack is a gift, if you want to read your own product, or if provenance certainty matters. Part of the UAE edition range.
Yellow from Kazakhstan costs less and comes from the sixteen-flavor Kazakhstan range, which includes all five Pearl capsule sticks. The one to pick if you want a cheaper Yellow with room to explore beyond it.
Yellow from Armenia is the cheapest we sell, sitting in the six-flavor Armenian range of proven sellers only. The right answer if Yellow is your daily stick and price is what matters.
The gap comes from tobacco excise in each source market rather than anything in the pack, explained in why imported TEREA costs less. How the five editions differ overall is covered in the TEREA edition comparison.
Not to be confused with Yellow Menthol
The Japan range carries a flavor called Yellow Menthol, and it is a completely different stick. That one is a genuine lemon-and-menthol blend: sharp citrus, strong cooling, herbal notes, with the tobacco pushed well into the background. Japan also has Black Yellow Menthol, the intensified version of it.
Yellow and Yellow Menthol share a colour name and nothing else. If you’ve read about a lemony, cooling TEREA and landed here expecting it, the Japan flavors are what you’re after.
Specs and devices
Every Yellow stick carries 0.5mg nicotine and gives up to 14 puffs across roughly a 6-minute session, in packs of 20 and cartons of 200 across 10 packs, with cartons cheaper per stick.
Yellow heats in any induction device: IQOS ILUMA One, Standard and Prime, the ILUMA i series, and Lambda i8, i9 and i10. Blade devices including the IQOS 3 Duo, Originals models, lil Solid, Lambda T3 and Lambda CC cannot heat TEREA at all. The reason is in how TEREA sticks work, and every model is listed in the device compatibility guide.
Two habits get the most out of a light flavor. Draw gently, because a hard pull buries the citrus under the tobacco. And run Yellow before heavier sticks in a rotation rather than after; following a Teak or a Turquoise will flatten it completely.
Storage matters more here than for most flavors too. Citrus notes are the first thing heat takes, so a Yellow carton left in an Abu Dhabi car loses its brightness before a plain tobacco carton would show any change at all. Every flavor we stock and how to keep it fresh is covered on the TEREA flavors page, and the complete catalogue is in the full TEREA sticks range.

Frequently asked questions
Does TEREA Yellow taste like lemon?
No. The citrus is an aroma that brightens the tobacco rather than a flavor you taste. For a genuine lemon flavor with cooling, Japan’s Yellow Menthol is the stick you want.
Is Yellow a menthol flavor?
No, and neither is Silver. Turquoise, Menthol, Blue, Green and anything with Black in the name are the cooling flavors.
Is Yellow too light if I smoked full-flavor cigarettes?
Probably. Yellow suits light-cigarette smokers. Start with Amber if you smoked full-flavor, then add Yellow for mornings once you’ve settled.
Yellow or Silver?
Both are light tobacco sticks of similar weight, so it comes down to aroma preference. Yellow is citrus-bright, Silver is herbal and a little earthier.
Which Yellow edition should I buy?
Armenia if price matters most, Kazakhstan if you want a cheaper pack from a range with more to explore, UAE if packaging language or gifting is the priority. The flavor idea is the same in all three.
Does the flavor differ between editions?
Only slightly. Batch tuning varies by market, and most people notice nothing. Price and packaging language are the differences that actually affect your choice.
