IQOS Originals One Silver Device
IQOS Originals One Slate Device
IQOS Originals One Turquoise Device
IQOS ORIGINALS ONE is the all-in-one blade device from Philip Morris, and it does something that surprises people who assume all-in-one means compromise: it gives three consecutive uses, one more than the two-piece ORIGINALS DUO.
No holder, no pocket charger, no two objects to keep track of. One body, up to 20 experiences per full charge, and roughly 90 minutes to recharge, which makes it the fastest-charging device in the ORIGINALS range.
It’s a blade device, so it works with HEETS and not with TEREA. We stock all four colours: Scarlet, Silver, Slate and Turquoise, with delivery within 1 hour in Abu Dhabi and same-day across the UAE.
The mono design, and what it replaced
Long-time IQOS users will recognise the shape. ORIGINALS ONE is the successor to the IQOS 3 MULTI, which was the first IQOS device without the traditional holder-and-charger split.
The improvements over MULTI are substantial rather than cosmetic. Battery capacity roughly doubled, taking it from 10 uses per charge to 20. The cap slides open more easily. The power button on the body is larger and does more, and the status indicator counts down your session rather than only reporting battery level.
That last feature is genuinely useful and unique to this device in the ORIGINALS line: the lights tell you how much of your current session remains, not just how much charge is left.
Three consecutive uses
Worth dwelling on, because it inverts what you’d expect.
The two-piece ORIGINALS DUO gives two sessions back to back from its holder before it needs a few minutes in the pocket charger. ORIGINALS ONE gives three from a single body.
Where DUO wins is over a full day: its pocket charger refills the holder repeatedly on the move, so you’re never waiting on a wall socket. ORIGINALS ONE gives you 20 uses total and then needs a plug.
So the honest split is that ONE is better for back-to-back sessions and simpler to carry, while DUO is better if you’re away from power for long stretches.

How HEATCONTROL works
The device heats through a flat, wide ceramic blade carrying platinum and gold tracks. The blade slides into the HEETS stick so its entire surface contacts the tobacco, heating from the inside out.
Philip Morris designed it that way deliberately. Broad contact spreads the heat evenly through the stick, which is what produces the cigarette-like draw the ORIGINALS line is built around.
The consequence is that the blade sits inside the tobacco for every session, which makes cleaning a real part of ownership and makes the blade the component most likely to fail.
Reading the status lights
Four LEDs handle everything, and they carry more information than most owners use.
Short-press the button and the lights show battery level. Four lights means more than 75% charged; one light means it’s time to charge.
During a session the same lights count down the time remaining. And to signal the last 30 seconds or last two puffs, the device vibrates once while one light pulses white, so a session never ends unexpectedly.
A blinking red light means the device is outside its operating range of 0 to 40°C, which in Abu Dhabi almost always means it has been in a hot car. Let it cool and it recovers.
If a red light persists after that, reset the device: press and hold the button for 10 seconds, then release. All status lights turn off and back on to confirm. If the light still persists after a reset, it needs Customer Care rather than another attempt.
Cleaning: daily, with the right tool
Philip Morris recommends cleaning this device daily, and on a blade device that isn’t marketing.
The routine is straightforward. Wait until the device is cool, slide the cap upwards and remove it completely. Insert the rotating head of the IQOS Dual Cleaning Tool and turn it gently, then insert the sweeping head and move it side to side.
Two things not to do: never clean the device with any cleaning agent, and never immerse it or let it contact water or other liquids.
We stock cleaning accessories including cleaning sticks, liquid cleaner and the Elio electronic cleaning tool, and our guide to cleaning an IQOS device covers the technique for any blade device.
Also worth stating plainly: pull HEETS sticks straight out rather than twisting them. Twisting is how ceramic blades crack, and a cracked blade means a replacement device rather than a repair.
What it will not heat
TEREA. That isn’t a limitation of this model but of blade heating itself.
TEREA carries a metal element built for induction, and pushing a ceramic blade into one damages the stick and risks the blade. For TEREA you need an IQOS ILUMA, ILUMA i or a Lambda induction device.
The reverse holds too: HEETS have no metal element, so an induction device has nothing to heat. HEETS in ILUMA and TEREA in IQOS 3 Duo covers both directions, and the device compatibility guide lists every model.
Safety notes that matter here
The user guide is specific about a few things, and two of them are especially relevant in this climate.
Do not use, charge or store the device in high-temperature places, which the guide names explicitly as including inside a car in summer. Abu Dhabi makes that a daily consideration rather than an occasional one.
Charge only with the supplied IQOS power adaptor, and only indoors. Don’t use third-party accessories for charging, and disconnect once fully charged rather than leaving it plugged in.
The rest of the ORIGINALS range
IQOS ORIGINALS DUO is the two-piece system, the renamed IQOS 3 DUO, with a pocket charger that refills the holder through the day and the widest accessory range of any IQOS device.
lil SOLID is the other blade line we carry.
Everything sits in our IQOS ORIGINALS range. If third-party hardware appeals, the Lambda T3 and Lambda CC use titanium steel alloy blades that don’t crack the way ceramic does, though neither carries a Philip Morris warranty.
If you’re considering TEREA instead
The switch removes cleaning entirely, since induction devices never let tobacco touch their internals. It also opens up 75 flavours across five TEREA editions, including the Pearl capsule range that HEETS has no equivalent of.
Our guide on what the HEETS phase-down means for UAE users covers the situation without overstating it, and how TEREA sticks work explains why the two systems can’t share hardware.
The four colours
Silver is the classic neutral. Slate is the dark one and the most forgiving on marks. Scarlet is the bold red. Turquoise is the most distinctive of the four.
The same four names appear on ORIGINALS DUO, so if you own one already and want a matching second device, the palette lines up.
Delivery
Every colour is stocked in Abu Dhabi with delivery inside 1 hour across the city, covering Khalifa City, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City. Frequently asked questions
How many sticks can I use back to back?
Three consecutive uses, which is one more than the two-piece ORIGINALS DUO manages from its holder. A full charge gives up to 20 uses in total.
How long does it take to charge?
About 90 minutes, making it the fastest-charging device in the IQOS ORIGINALS range. ORIGINALS DUO takes roughly 120 minutes.
ORIGINALS ONE or ORIGINALS DUO?
ONE is simpler to carry and gives three back-to-back sessions. DUO’s pocket charger refills its holder repeatedly through the day, so it suits long stretches away from power better. Both give around 20 uses per full charge.
Can it use TEREA sticks?
No. TEREA is designed for induction heating. This is a blade device, and forcing a TEREA stick in damages the stick and risks the blade.
What does a blinking red light mean?
Usually that the device is outside its 0 to 40°C operating range, which here normally means a hot car. Let it cool. If it persists, reset by holding the button for 10 seconds, and if it still persists after that, contact Customer Care.
How often should I clean it?
Daily, per Philip Morris guidance. Use the rotating and sweeping heads of the IQOS Dual Cleaning Tool, and never use a cleaning agent or let the device contact water.
How is it different from the IQOS 3 MULTI?
ORIGINALS ONE is its successor with roughly double the battery, 20 uses per charge against 10, an easier-sliding cap, a larger multifunction button and a status indicator that counts down your session.
Do the four colours perform differently?
No. All four share identical hardware, so the choice is purely visual.
