For HEETS users, Gold is the warm metallic in the CC range and the most eye-catching of the six. On a device that already carries an LED display, the metallic finish gives it a deliberate, considered look rather than a purely functional one.

Every CC is identical inside, so the finish is the only difference.

Specifications

What the CC does that other blade devices don’t

Most blade devices give you one heating profile and a status light. The CC gives you control that’s unusual in this category.

Temperature runs from 200 to 300°C, adjustable rather than fixed or limited to two presets. Lower settings give a lighter, cleaner draw; higher settings give more body and denser vapour. Session length is adjustable too, from 3 to 6 minutes. An LED display shows temperature, battery level and session time rather than colour-coded lights.

And the 3200 mAh battery is more than double the Lambda T3 at 1500 mAh, and considerably more than any official IQOS blade device manages.

CC or T3

The CC has more than double the battery, an LED display rather than indicator lights, and fully adjustable temperature and session length. The T3 is simpler and lighter, with a fixed 5 minute 30 second session and two temperature levels, and it charges faster at around 70 minutes. The CC is the better device; the T3 is the more convenient one.

Titanium rather than ceramic

The blade is where blade devices die. Official IQOS hardware uses ceramic, which cracks if a stick is twisted during removal, and once it goes the device is finished.

A titanium steel alloy blade removes that failure mode entirely. It’s not a flavour improvement, it’s a longevity one, and it’s the reason people replace a broken IQOS with one of these rather than another IQOS.

Residue and maintenance

A blade sits in the tobacco for the whole session, which means residue. It’s inherent to the design, not a defect in this particular device.

Routine upkeep runs through the automatic cycle. Beyond that, periodic manual cleaning with a brush and cleaning sticks is what separates a blade device that stays good for years from one that disappoints within months.

Moving from HEETS to TEREA

If you’re weighing this up, know that the device doesn’t transfer. TEREA relies on induction, and no blade device can heat it.

Induction options in this range are the Lambda i8, i9 and i10. Official ones are IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i.

Warranty and what’s included

Lambda sits outside the Philip Morris ecosystem, which means no manufacturer warranty; whatever protection exists comes from the seller. Worth checking before ordering anywhere. Sticks aren’t included.

Keeping it working

Two habits. Keep it cool, because heat degrades a lithium battery faster than any amount of use, and an Abu Dhabi car in summer is the worst place for one.

And clean it on a schedule rather than when it starts tasting off. Blade devices reward the habit and punish neglect quickly.

The six colours

Gold is the warm metallic and the most visible of the six. Red is the bold non-metallic, Grey is the subdued neutral, White is the clean minimal option, Army Green is the muted colour choice, and Black is the classic that hides marks best. All six sit on the Lambda CC collection page.

One practical note: metallic finishes show fingerprints sooner than black does. Grey is the compromise if you want a metal look with less upkeep.

Frequently asked questions

Does gold perform differently from the other finishes?

No. Every Lambda CC shares the same blade, battery, temperature range and display.

Does the gold finish mark easily?

Metallics show fingerprints more readily than black. It wipes clean easily, but black stays looking new for longer.

Does it work with TEREA sticks?

No. The CC is a blade device and TEREA needs induction heating. For TEREA you need the Lambda i8, i9 or i10, or an IQOS ILUMA model.

Which sticks does it work with?

HEETS, Marlboro heatsticks, Parliament, Fiit and similar blade-compatible sticks.
