Bronze is the cocoa stick. Philip Morris builds it as a mellow, aromatic tobacco blend married with cocoa and dried fruit aroma notes, and it’s the flavor people move to when Amber starts feeling too plain. Deep-roasted tobacco underneath, dark chocolate bitterness through the middle, raisin and date sweetness at the finish.

This is the official UAE release, in Arabic and English packaging with UAE health warnings, and it’s the version most Bronze regulars in Abu Dhabi buy by the carton.

About the flavor

The hierarchy runs deep-roasted tobacco first, cocoa second, dried fruit third. The cocoa is the detail worth understanding before you buy: it reads as dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate, which means bitterness and richness rather than sweetness. It adds a dimension without turning the stick into a dessert. The dried fruit that follows suggests raisins or dates and gives the finish a natural sweetness that the cocoa alone wouldn’t.

Weight is where Bronze separates itself from Amber. The vapour feels denser, almost velvety, and it sits heavier on the palate. Reviewers describe it as thick and satisfying, and that texture is as much a part of the flavor as the notes themselves.

The aroma is warm, malty and toasty, noticeably denser in a room than Amber’s. Not intrusive, but present.

Through a session the profile builds rather than holds. The first inhale is warm and mellow, roasted with the tobacco body soft but clear. Within a few draws the cocoa emerges and the stick starts to feel fuller. Through the middle the roasted notes deepen and the cocoa is at its most obvious. The final third is where the dried fruit shows, adding sweetness as the tobacco warmth peaks. The finish is clean but lingering, with natural sweetness left on the palate rather than any burnt edge. Fourteen puffs at 0.5mg nicotine, and unusually for a flavor this rich, the fourteenth is as good as the first.

Bronze or Amber?

This is the decision most buyers on this page are actually making, and the answer is about weight rather than strength.

Amber is the balanced reference: roasted, woody, nutty, clean and easy to run all day. Bronze is denser and warmer, with cocoa and dried fruit layered on top of a deeper roast. Amber is what you buy to replace a cigarette; Bronze is what you buy when you want the session to be more interesting than that.

Most people describe Bronze as heavier on the palate but not harsher. There’s no peppery bite here, unlike Teak, which takes the same tobacco base in a woody, spiced direction instead. And if you want depth without the cocoa sweetness, Sienna is drier with tea-like notes.

A fair warning: light smokers often find Bronze too much. If you came from light cigarettes, Yellow or Amber is the better first purchase, and Bronze is where you graduate to later.

The full thirteen-flavor lineup is on our TEREA UAE flavors page, and every Bronze we stock across editions sits on the Bronze flavor page.

The dryness problem, and how to avoid it

One genuine criticism of Bronze in this region: in extreme heat, the flavor can turn dry and lose some of its richness. That’s not a fault in the stick, it’s storage.

Bronze relies on aroma compounds that are more heat-sensitive than a lighter blend’s. A carton left in a car through an Abu Dhabi afternoon will taste noticeably flatter than one kept indoors, and the cocoa note is the first thing to go. Keep packs somewhere cool and out of direct sun, and don’t stockpile more than you’ll use in a few months during summer.

Also worth knowing: Bronze tastes best when your palate is clean. After a menthol or a clove stick, the cocoa layer disappears almost completely. Run it first in a rotation.

Why the UAE version

Bronze exists in the Indonesian range and the Kazakhstan range too, both at lower prices, and we’ll say that plainly rather than let you discover it later.

What this UAE release gives you is Arabic and English packaging, UAE health warnings, and the local supply chain, which matters if you’re gifting a carton, buying for family, or you simply want a product you can read. It’s also the edition to stay in if you’re buying alongside the Dimensions trio, which exists in full only here.

If price is the deciding factor, the imported versions are the better buy, and the reason for the gap is set out in why imported TEREA costs less. How the five editions differ overall is covered in our TEREA edition comparison and the TEREA UAE edition guide, and everything we carry is in the full TEREA sticks range.

In the pack

20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton across 10 packs, with cartons cheaper per stick. Packs are factory-sealed in Bronze’s copper-brown design, printed in Arabic and English with UAE health warnings, and airtight to keep the aroma notes intact until you open them.

Getting the cocoa to show

Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA devices start heating on their own; older models need the button held until the first vibration, with a second vibration signalling ready. Up to 14 puffs across roughly 6 minutes, and the used stick comes out whole for general waste because nothing burns. The system behind that is explained in how TEREA sticks work, and full stick specifications are in how many puffs are in a TEREA stick.

Draw slowly with this one. The cocoa and dried fruit notes are aroma-led, and a fast, hard pull pushes the roasted tobacco forward at their expense. Bronze rewards a relaxed session more than most flavors in the range.

Devices

Heats in any induction device: IQOS ILUMA One, Standard and Prime, the full ILUMA i series, and Lambda i8, i9 and i10. Blade devices including the IQOS 3 Duo cannot heat TEREA at all, and every compatible model is listed in our device compatibility guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bronze sweet?

Not really. The cocoa is dark chocolate in character, bitter and rich rather than sugary, and the dried fruit adds only a natural sweetness at the finish. Nobody would mistake it for a flavoured stick.

Is Bronze stronger than Amber?

Heavier rather than stronger. The vapour is denser and the roast is deeper, so it feels fuller on the palate, but it delivers that without a harsh throat hit.

Does it contain menthol?

No. Bronze is entirely tobacco-focused, with cocoa and dried fruit as aroma notes. Menthol users should look at Turquoise or Blue instead.

Why does my Bronze taste dry?

Almost always heat. The aroma compounds in this blend suffer more from hot storage than lighter flavors do, so a pack that’s spent time in a car will taste flatter and lose the cocoa first.

Is it a good daily flavor or an evening one?

Both, depending on how much you want from a session. Plenty of people run it all day, though it has a following as an after-dinner stick because of the cocoa and the fuller body.
