Apricity is the richest stick in the Dimensions series and the one Amber drinkers tend to move to when they want something more. The official Philip Morris description is a rich tobacco blend with subtle ripe stone fruit nuances and woody notes, complemented by velvety creamy sensations, and the word doing the work in that sentence is creamy. It’s what separates Apricity from every other tobacco stick in the UAE range.

The name comes from an old English word for the warmth of winter sun, which is a fair description of how the stick tastes.

About the flavor

The hierarchy is rich tobacco first, stone fruit second, woody notes third, and a creamy texture running through all of it. Stone fruit means apricot rather than berry or citrus: a soft, mildly tart sweetness rather than a bright one. Some tasters read vanilla and caramel alongside it, which is what gives Apricity its dessert reputation, though the tobacco base is substantial enough that it never turns into a sweet.

The creaminess is the part worth explaining, because it isn’t a flavor. It’s a mouthfeel, a smoothness in the vapour that softens the edges of the tobacco. It’s why people describe Apricity as comforting rather than intense, and why it’s the stick most often recommended for evenings.

The aroma is warm and rounded with the fruit noticeable but not loud. It carries less than a menthol or clove stick and more than a plain tobacco one.

Across a session the fruit is clearest in the opening draws, the tobacco base builds through the middle, and the creamy finish is strongest in the last third, closing warm and smooth with no dryness and no bitterness. Fourteen puffs at 0.5mg nicotine, and the profile deepens rather than fades.

One honest note: reviewers who dislike Apricity almost always say the same thing, that the creamy notes are too much for them. This is a flavor with a definite character, so buy a pack before a carton if rich and sweet isn’t usually your thing.

Apricity or Yugen? The Dimensions decision

The two non-menthol Dimensions sticks are the ones people actually choose between, and they’re genuine opposites.

Apricity is warm, fruity and creamy: apricot, vanilla and caramel over rich tobacco, a dessert profile suited to evenings and cooler moments. Yugen is floral and aromatic: lavender and jasmine-tea notes with pear over a deep tobacco base, sophisticated rather than comforting, and better suited to daytime.

Neither is stronger than the other. If you want richness, take Apricity. If you want fragrance and complexity, take Yugen.

The third Dimensions stick, Ammil, is the menthol of the trio, built on spice and herbal notes with a fresh cooling sensation. It’s also the rarest, since Ammil exists in no other edition we stock.

Where Apricity sits in the UAE range

Coming from Amber, Apricity is the natural step up: same tobacco satisfaction, more depth and a sweeter, creamier finish. Coming from Bronze, which already has cocoa and dried fruit, Apricity is the more refined version of that idea. Coming from Sienna or Teak, it’s a change of direction rather than a step up, since those are dry and woody where this is round and sweet.

The UAE and Indonesia versions

Apricity is one of two Dimensions sticks we stock in more than one edition. This UAE release comes in Arabic and English packaging at official pricing. The Indonesian version is the same blend concept in Indonesian packaging, and it sits in the budget tier.

Both are original Philip Morris product; the price gap comes from tobacco excise in the source market rather than anything in the pack, which we’ve explained in why imported TEREA costs less. 20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton across 10 packs, with cartons priced lower per stick. Dimensions packs use the series’ own design rather than the standard TEREA colour scheme, and UAE stock is factory-sealed with Arabic and English printing and UAE health warnings.

Getting the most from it

Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA models start heating automatically; older ones need the button held until the first vibration, with a second vibration to signal ready. Up to 14 puffs across roughly 6 minutes at 0.5mg nicotine, and the spent stick comes out whole for general waste. Two things specific to this stick. Draw slowly, because the creamy texture is the first thing lost to a hard pull, and it’s the reason you bought Apricity rather than Amber. And don’t follow a menthol or clove stick with it; the fruit and cream sit at a subtler level than either, and they’ll be buried.

Does Apricity contain menthol?

What does “creamy” actually mean here?

Is it sweet?
