IQOS ILUMA i Leaf Green

Leaf Green is the quiet one. A soft, desaturated green closer to sage than to anything vivid, it’s the finish for people who want their device to have a colour without that colour being a statement.

It occupies a specific gap in the range: black is the absence of a decision, violet is a loud one, and this is a decision that doesn’t announce itself. That’s a narrower brief than it sounds, and it’s why Leaf Green tends to be picked deliberately rather than by default.

Where it falls among the five

On an attention scale, Leaf Green sits nearest to Midnight Black while still being a colour.

Breeze Blue is the series signature and the more visible cool option. Vivid Terracotta is the warm earth tone and the most unusual finish in the set. Digital Violet is built to be seen.

If black feels a little severe to you but you’d rather not carry something that draws comment, this is the answer to that.

Like every pale finish it shows fingerprints and fine scuffs sooner than a dark body does over a year of daily carry, with Midnight Black the most forgiving of the five on that count. All of them are on the ILUMA i collection page.

One note if you’re comparing against the premium model: ILUMA i Prime doesn’t carry Leaf Green. Its four-colour palette uses Aspen Green instead, which is a different, more grey-toned shade.

The stick question most people don’t ask

ILUMA i isn’t a TEREA-only device, and that’s worth knowing before you buy.

It accepts the full SMARTCORE STICKS family, which covers TEREA, LEVIA and DELIA. All three carry the metal element that induction heats, and it’s that element rather than the brand or the market that decides compatibility. Which is also why imported editions and Pearl capsule flavours run exactly like local stock.

HEETS remain the permanent exception. No metal element means induction has nothing to act on. Philip Morris also warns against putting SMARTCORE STICKS into earlier IQOS generations, which risks damaging those devices. HEETS in ILUMA and TEREA in IQOS 3 Duo explains both directions, the device compatibility guide lists every model, and HEETS users want the IQOS Originals range.

Features

The holder’s touch screen reports preheating progress, remaining session time, and how many uses are left before the holder needs charging.

Pause Mode stops a session and resumes within 8 minutes, working only in Performance Mode and only in the first 3 minutes or 8 puffs. Using it drops your consecutive sessions from three to two.

FlexPuff may extend a session by up to four puffs, taking a stick from 14 to 18. It activates on individual usage patterns rather than universally, and never on a paused session.

FlexBattery switches between Performance Mode, with three consecutive sessions, and Eco Mode, with one at a time and up to a year of additional holder battery lifespan. It’s set through the IQOS app, and choosing Eco disables Pause Mode.

Specifications

Choosing flavours

Start by matching what you smoked: Amber for full-flavour cigarettes, Yellow for lights, Turquoise for menthols.

We carry 75 TEREA flavours across five editions, and the edition changes your price far more than your taste. Kazakhstan is the popular choice on cost and its five Pearl capsules, Armenia is cheaper with a shorter list, Japan and Indonesia carry exclusives, and the UAE edition is the official local release. Why imported TEREA costs less covers the pricing.

Ownership notes

The device is rated for 0 to 40°C, and a parked car here in summer exceeds that easily. Heat also ages lithium batteries faster than use does, so keep both parts out of direct sun.

No internal cleaning is needed at any point. Induction means tobacco never contacts the inside of the holder. Warranty terms vary by market, commonly 12 months on the holder and pocket charger.

Frequently asked questions

Is Leaf Green a bright green?

No. It’s a soft, desaturated shade closer to sage, and one of the most understated finishes in the range.

Is Leaf Green the same as Aspen Green on the Prime?

No, they’re different shades on different models. Leaf Green belongs to ILUMA i and ILUMA i One; Aspen Green is part of the ILUMA i Prime palette and reads greyer.

Does it perform differently from the other colours?

No. All five ILUMA i finishes share the same battery, heating system and features.

Does it work with LEVIA and DELIA sticks?

Yes. ILUMA i accepts the whole SMARTCORE STICKS family, so TEREA, LEVIA and DELIA all work.

Why does Eco Mode disable Pause?

Pause Mode requires Performance Mode to run. Eco limits the holder to one session at a time in exchange for longer battery lifespan, and pausing isn’t available in that state.
