LAMBDA T3 Army Green Device

Before you order: the Lambda T3 is a blade device for HEETS and does not heat TEREA sticks. TEREA users need an induction device, covered further down this page.

For HEETS users, Army Green is the understated colour option in the T3 range. A muted military green rather than anything bright, it’s the finish for people who want colour without the device drawing attention, and it’s the one most commonly paired with the tempered glass body.

All five finishes perform identically, so the colour is the only difference.

How the controls work

Two buttons, and the indicator light does most of the communicating.

The upper button is the main control: one click for a battery check, a two-second hold to start heating, five clicks to run the automatic cleaning cycle, which takes about 30 seconds.

The lower button switches temperature mode. Hold it for two seconds to move between standard, shown white and set as default, and high, shown yellow. Battery level uses the same light: white means 100 to 30 percent, yellow means 30 percent down to empty, red means charge it now.

The heating cradle is magnetic and removable, which makes both removing a used stick and reaching the blade for cleaning easier than on a fixed-chamber device.

T3 or Lambda CC

The Lambda CC has more than double the battery at 3200 mAh against 1500, an LED display rather than indicator lights, and fully adjustable temperature and session length rather than two presets and a fixed 5 minute 30 second cycle. The T3 is simpler and lighter, and it charges faster at around 70 minutes. The CC is the better device; the T3 is the more convenient one.

The titanium blade

IQOS blade devices use a ceramic blade, which is fragile. Twist a stick while pulling it out and the blade can snap, and a broken blade means a dead device. It’s the most common way an IQOS 3 Duo or Originals model fails.

This one uses a titanium steel alloy blade, which doesn’t break the same way. For anyone who has already lost a device to a snapped ceramic blade, that’s the whole argument.

Cleaning is part of owning it

Blade devices collect tobacco residue because the blade sits inside the tobacco during every session. That’s how the technology works rather than a fault.

The automatic cleaning function handles routine upkeep. Manual cleaning with a brush and cleaning sticks is still worth doing periodically, especially if flavour starts tasting muted or heating feels uneven.

If you’re considering TEREA instead

Plenty of HEETS users move across, and this device can’t come with you, since TEREA needs induction heating.

The Lambda i8, i9 and i10 are the induction models in this range, and the IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i ranges are the official alternatives.

Buying notes

Lambda is a third-party manufacturer rather than a Philip Morris product, so there’s no PMI warranty. Cover comes from the retailer, which is worth confirming wherever you buy. Sticks are sold separately.

Care in the UAE

Heat shortens lithium battery life faster than use does, so keep the device out of parked cars and off dashboards through summer.

Clean it regularly. A blade device that isn’t cleaned loses flavour quality within weeks, which is the most common complaint in this category and the easiest one to avoid.

The five colours

Army Green is the muted, understated option. Black is the classic that hides marks best, Blue is the cool mid-range choice, Gold is the warm metallic, and Red is the bold one. All five are on the Lambda T3 collection page.

The T3 comes in two body types, all-aluminium and aluminium with 2.5D tempered glass. The glass version grips noticeably better in the hand, at the cost of showing fingerprints more readily.

Does it perform differently from the other colours?

No. Every Lambda T3 shares the same blade, battery and features.

Does it work with TEREA sticks?

No. The T3 is a blade device and TEREA needs induction heating. For TEREA you need the Lambda i8, i9 or i10, or an IQOS ILUMA model.

Which sticks does it work with?

HEETS, Marlboro heatsticks, Parliament, Fiit and similar blade-compatible sticks.
