Before anything else, the fact most listings leave out: lil SOLID isn’t an IQOS device. It’s made by KT&G, the South Korean tobacco company, and distributed by Philip Morris International in many markets. Different manufacturer, different heating method, different sticks.

EZ or 2.0?

The two share more than they differ, so this is a short comparison rather than a long one.

Both are all-in-one devices using a steel heating pin rather than a ceramic blade. Both take Fiit and HEETS. Both give around 25 sessions per full charge and three consecutive uses.

Where the EZ pulls ahead is charging: roughly 90 minutes against the 2.0’s two hours. It’s also the more colour-led of the two, sold in finishes like Mint and Rose Gold that the 2.0 never carried.

Where the 2.0 pulls ahead is on stated specification: a 2950 mAh battery and a fuller published spec sheet, in Cosmic Blue or Stone Grey.

Neither heats differently from the other. Choose on charging speed and finish.

Why a pin instead of a blade

IQOS blade devices like ORIGINALS DUO heat through a flat ceramic blade that slides into the stick. Ceramic cracks, and a cracked blade is the most common way those devices die.

lil SOLID uses a steel pin. It doesn’t fail that way, which is the strongest single argument for this platform over official IQOS blade hardware.

The removal habit that’s the reverse of IQOS

On an IQOS blade device you pull sticks straight out, because twisting cracks the blade.

On lil SOLID you do the opposite: rotate the stick more than three times in one direction, then remove it. The rotation keeps tobacco residue from staying in the chamber, and the steel pin is built to take it.

If you own both types of device, keep those two habits separate. Mixing them up is the most common mistake among dual owners.

Sticks

Fiit, KT&G’s own line and the one the manufacturer recommends, and HEETS.

TEREA and DELIA will not work. Both are SMARTCORE sticks with a metal element built for induction heating, and putting one into a pin device risks damage. Care in the UAE

Keep it out of parked cars and off dashboards through summer, since heat ages a lithium battery faster than heavy use does.
