Ammil is the menthol member of the Dimensions trio, and it’s the rarest TEREA stick we carry. Philip Morris describes it as a delicate mix of spices and herbal notes carried by an underlying twist of fresh sensation, which is an unusual thing to build a menthol around: most cooling sticks lead with fruit or with cold alone, and this one leads with spice.

It’s also the only Dimensions flavor that exists nowhere else in our store. Yugen and Apricity both appear in the Indonesian range at import prices; Ammil is UAE-edition only.

What Dimensions actually is

Dimensions is Philip Morris’s premium sub-line within TEREA, and it works differently from the rest of the range. Where a Classic blend like Amber aims for a reliable tobacco you can smoke all day, Dimensions sticks are built as complex compositions, closer to how a perfume is structured than a cigarette.

Three sticks make up the trio, each pointing in a different direction. Yugen is the fruit-and-floral one, with ripe fruit and flowery aromas over tobacco. Apricity is the rich and creamy one, the fullest of the three. Ammil is the fresh one, and the only one with cooling in it.

About the flavor

The hierarchy is spices and herbs first, fresh menthol sensation second, and a smooth tobacco base underneath with a creamy undertone that several reviewers pick up specifically. That ordering is the whole point. In a standard menthol stick the cold arrives first and everything else follows; in Ammil the aromatic layer arrives first and the freshness lifts it from below.

The aroma is where the complexity shows. There’s a faint woodiness on first opening, then the spice and herb notes come through, warm rather than sharp, with a creaminess that keeps them from feeling austere. It smells like a considered blend rather than a menthol product.

Through a session the balance shifts gently. The opening draws are the most aromatic, with spice and herb notes clearly separated and the cooling only just present. The middle stretch is where the fresh sensation builds and starts working against the warmth of the spices, which is the contrast the flavor is designed around. The last third settles into the smoothest part, the creamy undertone most evident, finishing clean and cool without the sharp menthol bite you’d get from a dedicated cooling stick. Worth being clear about intensity: this is a refined cooling, not a strong one. If you want maximum cold, Ammil is the wrong purchase and Turquoise is the right one.

Who Ammil is actually for

Three groups tend to buy this stick repeatedly.

People who find standard menthols one-dimensional. If Turquoise and Blue deliver the cooling but bore you after a carton, Ammil gives you something to actually taste alongside the freshness.

People who don’t normally like menthol at all. The cooling here is subtle enough that it functions as a finish rather than the main event, and a fair number of tobacco-only smokers keep a pack of Ammil for variety when nothing else with menthol appeals.

People buying for evenings or occasions. Dimensions sits at the premium end of the range in both price and composition, and the spice-and-herb profile suits a slower session rather than a quick break between meetings.

In the pack

20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton across 10 packs, with cartons priced lower per stick. Packs are factory-sealed in the Dimensions design, printed in Arabic and English with UAE health warnings, which makes this the easiest premium stick to buy as a gift since the recipient can read it.

Getting the aromatics to show

Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA devices start heating on their own; older models need the button held until the first vibration, with a second vibration signalling ready.
