Green is the everyday menthol of the Indonesian range. Philip Morris describes it as real tobacco with a cool menthol sensation and green fruit aroma, and in practice it sits exactly where most menthol users want to be: cold enough to feel refreshing, light enough to smoke all day, and smooth enough that it never scratches.
It’s the flavor mint lovers keep coming back to, and the one we recommend when someone finds Black Menthol too aggressive and Silver too faint.
The hierarchy is even, which is unusual. Menthol and lightly toasted tobacco share the front of the stick, with a green minty aroma running alongside and a soft fruit note underneath. Neither element dominates, and that balance is the whole character of this stick.
The aroma is clean and green rather than sweet or medicinal, and it’s moderate by menthol standards. It won’t fill a room the way clove or a strong berry menthol does, but it’s more noticeable than Mint from the Japanese range. Our guide to whether TEREA sticks smell sets out how the families compare.
The physical feel is worth describing because it’s what people actually notice. The draw is light with almost no resistance, and the sensation is airy rather than dense. Heavier menthols produce that deep icy feeling in the chest; Green stays in the mouth and throat, coating the tongue with a moist freshness instead of drying it out.
Across a session the profile moves gently. The opening is menthol-forward and crisp, the middle turns creamy and herbal as the tobacco settles in beside the cooling, and the final third brings the tobacco slightly more forward while the cold sinks into the back of the throat. It never turns sour or bitter on the last draws, which is the failure point of a lot of light menthols. Fourteen puffs, consistent throughout, with the cooling easing off only slightly at the very end.
This is the most common mix-up in the TEREA range, and the names don’t help.
Green is the balanced one, this stick: moderate cooling, light toasted tobacco, green mint aroma, built for all-day use.
Black Green is the intensified version, following the Black rule that runs through the whole TEREA line. Full-bodied dark tobacco underneath, bright menthol on top, and a much harder cold. Same idea, far more of it.
Green Zing isn’t from this edition at all. It’s a Kazakhstan flavor that adds citrus and herbal notes to the green-menthol formula, making it sharper and livelier rather than stronger. If you want zest, that’s the one, and it sits in a cheaper edition, which the TEREA Kazakhstan range explains in context.
Within the Indonesian lineup, the closest neighbour is Blue, which swaps the green fruit for peppermint and a creamy finish with deeper cooling. Green is the fresher of the pair, Blue the richer. Both sit on our TEREA Indonesia flavors page alongside the rest of the range, and every green-family stick across all five editions is collected on the Green flavor page.
Most menthols are built to make an impression, which is fine for one or two sticks and tiring across a full day. Green is built the other way.
The cooling is moderate enough that your palate doesn’t go numb after the third stick, so flavor still registers by the evening. The draw is light, so it doesn’t feel like work. And the tobacco base is present but restrained, meaning it pairs with coffee, food and everything else without fighting them. That combination is why Green outsells sharper menthols in hot climates, and why it’s a common choice in Abu Dhabi summers when a heavy stick feels like too much.
If you want more intensity in the evening, Black Green from the same edition is the natural pair. Many customers keep both.
20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton across 10 packs, with the carton cheaper per stick. Green arrives as original Indonesian-market stock, factory-sealed, with Indonesian printing and health warnings and the flavor name in Latin script on the front. Indonesian editions are among the more affordable ranges we carry, for the reasons set out in why imported TEREA costs less.
Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA devices begin heating automatically; older models need the button held until the first vibration, with a second vibration to signal ready. A stick gives up to 14 puffs across roughly 6 minutes at 0.5mg nicotine, and comes out whole afterwards for general waste. Full session specs are in how many puffs are in a TEREA stick, and the heating system itself is explained in how TEREA sticks work.
One thing that helps with this flavor specifically: don’t rush the draw. Green’s light resistance makes it easy to pull hard out of habit, and a fast draw pushes the menthol forward at the expense of the green fruit and the creaminess in the middle of the session. Slow draws are where this stick earns its reputation.
Runs in every induction device: IQOS ILUMA One, Standard and Prime, the full ILUMA i series, and Lambda i8, i9 and i10. Blade devices including the IQOS 3 Duo cannot heat TEREA at all, and every model is listed in our device compatibility guide. The complete range across all five editions is on our TEREA sticks page.

No. Green is an Indonesian flavor built on green mint and toasted tobacco. Green Zing comes from the Kazakhstan range and adds citrus and herbal notes, making it sharper. They’re often confused because of the name.
Moderate. It’s cooler than Mint or Silver and noticeably lighter than Black Menthol or Black Green. If you want the cold to be the main event, Green isn’t the right pick.
Green is fresher, with green mint and fruit notes. Blue is richer, built on peppermint with a creamy finish and deeper cooling. Green suits daytime and heat; Blue suits a heavier session.
No. Green holds its balance to the last draw and doesn’t turn sour or dry, which is one of the main reasons it works as an all-day flavor.
Yes, and it’s one of the better starting points. It’s cool enough to feel like a proper menthol without the intensity that puts new users off stronger options.
