IQOS ILUMA ONE Kit Pebble Grey

Pebble Grey is the practical choice in the ILUMA One range. A soft, cool grey with a matte finish that stays neutral against anything you’re wearing or carrying, and the colour that hides marks and everyday wear better than any other in the lineup.

It’s the one to pick if you want the device to disappear rather than announce itself. Specifications are identical across all five colours, so this decision is entirely about looks and longevity of appearance.

What’s in the kit

ILUMA One is a single-piece device, so the box is short on parts by design.

Inside you’ll find the ILUMA One device in Pebble Grey, a USB-C charging cable, a small cleaning tool for the outer cap, and the user documentation with warranty information. There’s no holder and no pocket charger, because this device doesn’t use them.

Two things are not included and are worth knowing before the box arrives. There’s no power adapter, only the cable, so use any USB-C phone charger you already own. And TEREA sticks are sold separately, which means most people add a pack or two to the order.

Why Pebble Grey ages best

Every ILUMA One has a matte finish, which already helps with fingerprints compared to a gloss surface. Grey takes that further.

Light colours show scuffs and marks from pockets, bags and keys more visibly over months of use, and grey is the shade where those marks blend in rather than stand out. Pebble Beige is the warm neutral alternative and looks softer, but it shows wear more clearly. Azure Blue is the most popular colour we sell and sits between neutral and distinctive. Moss Green is the muted, earthy option, and Sunset Red is the only bold one.

Getting started

Charge it fully before first use, which takes around 90 minutes over USB-C. If the battery arrives deeply depleted, the first LED can take up to 20 minutes to appear, and that’s normal rather than a fault.

To run a session: slide the cap open, insert a TEREA stick up to the filter line without twisting it, then press and hold the button until the device vibrates. About 20 seconds later a second vibration signals it’s ready. Draw normally for up to 14 puffs or roughly six minutes, then slide the used stick out and close the cap.

A brief tap on the button shows the battery level at any time, and a yellow flash at the base of the status bar means it needs charging.

One thing to know before you order: ILUMA One has no auto-start. Inserting a stick doesn’t begin heating on its own, and you press the button every time. That’s the trade-off for the simpler one-piece design; ILUMA Standard, Prime and the whole ILUMA i series have it. Our first-time ILUMA setup guide covers the rest.

Nothing to clean inside

Older IQOS devices heated tobacco with a ceramic blade that slid into the stick, and that blade collected residue and needed regular cleaning.

ILUMA One has no blade. The Smartcore Induction System heats a metal element sealed inside each TEREA stick using a magnetic field, so nothing in the device makes contact with tobacco. Sticks come out whole, no residue builds up, and the only surface that ever needs attention is the outer cap, which is what the small tool in the box handles.

The same design is why the device only takes TEREA. HEETS have no metal element inside, so an induction coil has nothing to heat. Both directions of that are covered in HEETS in ILUMA and TEREA in IQOS 3 Duo, and the mechanism itself in how TEREA sticks work.

Sticks to order alongside it

The device needs TEREA, and we stock all 75 flavors across five editions.

For a first device, three flavors cover most people: Amber coming from full-flavor cigarettes, Yellow from lights, Turquoise from menthols.

Edition affects what you pay. Most of our customers buy from the Kazakhstan range, which is cheaper than official stock and carries five Pearl capsule flavors. Armenia is cheaper again with a six-flavor lineup, and the UAE edition is the official local release in Arabic and English packaging. Keeping it in good shape

Heat degrades lithium batteries faster than use does, and a car dashboard through an Abu Dhabi summer is the worst place to leave any device. Keep it out of direct sunlight and out of parked cars.

Two habits beyond that: avoid using it while it’s charging, and use a decent USB-C cable rather than the cheapest one available. There’s no internal maintenance to worry about.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pebble Grey different from Pebble Beige?

Only in shade. Grey is the cool neutral, beige the warm one, and both are matte. Grey hides marks and wear better over time.

Does colour affect performance?

No. All five ILUMA One colours share the same battery, heating system and 20 uses per charge.

Are TEREA sticks in the box?

No. The kit has the device, a USB-C cable, a cap cleaning tool and documentation. Sticks are ordered separately.

Is there a plug adapter included?

No, just the cable. Any USB-C phone adapter will charge it.

Does it heat automatically when I insert a stick?

No. Press and hold the button until it vibrates. Auto-start is on ILUMA Standard, Prime and the ILUMA i models.

How often will I need to charge it?

Up to 20 sticks per charge, so most people charge once a day or less depending on how much they use it.

Will it work with HEETS?

No. HEETS have no metal heating element, so induction devices can’t heat them. TEREA only.
