Where they’re useful

The holder body, which takes the most contact of anything you own after your phone.

The cap, particularly around the edges where fingers grip to slide it off.

Why not a cloth

A dry cloth pushes oil around rather than absorbing it. A damp cloth introduces moisture, and moisture near the electronics is the failure mode every manufacturer warns about.

These sheets absorb rather than smear, and they do it dry.

What they don’t do

They don’t clean the heating chamber. That needs the cleaning tool and cleaning sticks, which are a separate routine entirely.

They don’t remove scratches. Oils and fingerprints come off; wear doesn’t.

Chamber cleaning applies only to blade and pin devices. Exterior care applies to everything, including ILUMA and ILUMA i devices that need no internal cleaning at all, and Lambda devices in metallic finishes that show handling quickly.

A note on the UAE

Heat and humidity make this worse than it would be elsewhere. Skin oils transfer more readily in summer, and a device that lives in a pocket through an Abu Dhabi August picks up more than one that doesn’t.

The same climate is hard on the device itself. Keep it out of parked cars and off dashboards, since heat shortens lithium battery life faster than any amount of use.
