Apricity is the warm one. A full-bodied tobacco base carrying ripe stone fruit, woody depth and a velvety creamy finish, it’s the richest stick in the Dimensions line and the one people reach for in the evening rather than the morning. Philip Morris positions Dimensions as its premium sub-line, and Apricity is where that premium is easiest to taste.

It’s also one of the few flavors we stock in two different editions at two different prices, which is worth knowing before you order.

The name is a clue

Apricity is a real English word, and a rare one. It means the warmth of the sun on a winter’s day. Whoever named this stick chose precisely: warm, comforting, associated with cold weather rather than heat.

The naming runs through the whole trio. Yugen comes from Japanese aesthetics and describes a subtle, profound beauty that can’t be stated directly, which fits a floral stick built on suggestion rather than impact. Ammil is an old English dialect word for the thin film of ice that coats everything after a freeze, and it belongs to the menthol of the three. Three obscure words for three kinds of atmosphere, and each one describes its flavor accurately. That’s unusual care for a product line, and it tells you what Dimensions is trying to be.

About the flavor

The hierarchy puts tobacco first, which separates Dimensions from most flavored sticks. This is a rich, full-bodied tobacco base with everything else layered onto it rather than covering it. Stone fruit comes second, read as apricot by most people, ripe and lightly tart rather than sweet. Woody notes sit third, giving the blend its depth. The creamy sensation is the finish, and some tasters read vanilla or caramel in it.

The aroma is warm, sweet and rounded, closer to baked fruit than to fresh fruit, with none of the sharpness of a citrus or menthol stick. It carries into a room but pleasantly, and it’s one of the flavors people compliment rather than complain about. Over a session it develops in a clear direction. The opening draws are the fruitiest, apricot forward with the tobacco settling in behind. Through the middle the creaminess takes over and this is where Apricity is at its smoothest and most aromatic, the part that makes people buy it again. The final third turns drier and more tobacco-led as the fruit sweetness recedes, finishing long and warm with an aftertaste that lingers noticeably longer than lighter sticks. Apricity or Yugen?

These two are the Dimensions options in the Indonesian range, and they’re built for opposite moods.

Apricity is warmth: rich, creamy, fruit-and-wood, with a long finish. Yugen is aroma: floral and fruity over a softer tobacco base, lighter in body, with a more delicate finish that fades faster. Apricity suits evenings, after dinner, and pairs naturally with dark coffee, black tea or anything rich. Yugen suits daytime and social sessions.

The third Dimensions stick, Ammil, is the menthol of the trio and doesn’t appear in the Indonesian range at all. It’s available only in the TEREA UAE edition, which carries all three.

Same flavor, two editions

Apricity is one of the few sticks that exists in both our Indonesian and UAE ranges, and it isn’t priced the same in each.

The Indonesian version is the import: same Philip Morris product, made for the Indonesian market, and cheaper because Indonesia taxes tobacco far below UAE rates. The UAE version is the official local release with Arabic and English packaging, and it sits at official RRP. The blend concept is the same in both; what changes is the pack language and the price. When to smoke it

This is not a first-thing-in-the-morning stick. Apricity’s richness works best when your palate isn’t fresh and you’re not in a hurry: after a meal, with a strong coffee, in the evening. Users who make it their daily flavor tend to say the same thing, that it holds up to repetition better than most rich flavors because the tobacco base carries it rather than the sweetness.

Avoid following it with anything light. A Mint or a Smooth Regular after an Apricity will taste like almost nothing, so if you rotate flavors, run this one last.

In the pack

20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton in 10 packs, with cartons priced lower per stick. The Indonesian Apricity arrives as original Indonesian-market stock, factory-sealed, printed in Indonesian with local health warnings and the Dimensions name in Latin script on the front.

Heating notes

Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA devices begin heating on their own, while older models need the button held until the first vibration, and a second vibration signals ready. One stick gives up to 14 puffs across roughly 6 minutes at 0.5mg nicotine, and the spent stick comes out whole for general waste because nothing burns; the Smartcore system explains why.

Rich, creamy flavors reward a slower draw. Pulling hard on Apricity pushes the tobacco forward and flattens the fruit and cream layers, which are the reason to buy it in the first place.

Is Apricity sweet?

Moderately. The sweetness comes from ripe stone fruit and the creamy finish rather than added sugar-style flavouring, and the full tobacco base keeps it balanced. It reads as rich rather than sugary.

Does it contain menthol?

No. Apricity and Yugen are both non-menthol. Ammil is the menthol stick of the Dimensions trio, and it’s only in the UAE edition.

Is the Indonesian Apricity the same as the UAE one?

Same blend concept and the same manufacturer. The differences are the market it was made for, the packaging language, and the price, with the Indonesian import costing less.

Is it too strong for a beginner?

It’s medium-to-full, so it’s more than a first-ever stick should be, but it isn’t harsh. If you’re starting out, Yugen or a standard Bronze is the easier introduction and Apricity is the natural next step.

What pairs well with it?

Dark coffee, black tea and other rich drinks suit its warmth. It’s an after-dinner flavor more than a mid-morning one.
