Leaf Green is the quiet colour in the ILUMA i One range. A soft, desaturated green in matte, closer to sage than to anything vivid, it’s for people who want their device to have colour without having presence.

Colour without attention

The ILUMA i One range spreads across a wider spectrum than the colour names suggest.

Midnight Black is the neutral that hides marks best. Breeze Blue is the cool middle ground and the range’s best seller. Terracotta Brown is the warm option. Digital Violet is the one designed to be noticed.

Leaf Green sits closest to black on the attention scale while still being a colour. If you find black a bit severe but don’t want a device that stands out, this is the finish that solves it.

As with any pale colour, fingerprints and small scuffs become visible sooner than they would on a dark finish across a year of pocket use, and Midnight Black remains the most forgiving of the five. All of them sit together on the ILUMA i One collection page.

What’s in the kit

The device is a single unit, so the box carries little.

Inside: the ILUMA i One in Leaf Green, a USB-C charging cable, a cleaning tool for the outer cap, and the documentation with warranty details.

There’s no power adapter. Any USB-C phone charger will do.

TEREA sticks are sold separately, and the device does nothing without them, so most orders include a pack or two.

What you get over the older ILUMA One

Three changes from the previous all-in-one, and they’re all in behaviour rather than heating.

Heating starts by itself when a stick goes in to the filter line, where ILUMA One needs the button held down. Autostop ends the session if the stick is removed part-way.

FlexPuff reads your puff pattern during the first three minutes or eight puffs and may extend the session by up to four extra puffs, taking a stick from 14 to as many as 18. It triggers on individual usage patterns, so it won’t apply to every user or every session.

The battery is 2700 mAh rather than 1728, though both models give around 20 sticks per charge.

Not included, despite the name: touch screen and Pause Mode. Those are on the two-piece ILUMA i Standard and ILUMA i Prime, which also manage up to three consecutive uses because a pocket charger refills the holder between sticks.

Using it

Charge it fully first, about 90 minutes over USB-C, then hold the button for four seconds to switch it on.

Slide the cap open, insert a TEREA stick to the filter line without twisting. Heating begins automatically, or press the button for a second. A second vibration means ready. Draw for up to 14 puffs or six minutes plus any FlexPuff extension, with the status light showing remaining time and a single vibration near the end. Slide the stick out and close the cap.

Nothing to clean inside

Older IQOS devices heated sticks with a ceramic blade that collected residue and needed cleaning regularly.

There’s no blade in this generation. Smartcore induction heats a metal element sealed inside each TEREA stick with a magnetic field, so nothing inside the device touches tobacco. Sticks come out whole and no residue accumulates. Only the outer cap needs occasional attention, using the tool in the box. How TEREA sticks work explains the system.

Sticks to order with it

We stock all 75 TEREA flavors across five editions. For a first device, Amber suits full-flavor cigarette smokers, Yellow suits light smokers, and Turquoise suits menthol smokers.

Edition affects price more than taste. Most customers buy the Kazakhstan range, on cost and for its five Pearl capsule flavors. Armenia is cheaper with a shorter lineup, and the official UAE edition comes in Arabic and English packaging at RRP. Care in the UAE

Heat shortens lithium battery life faster than use does, and a parked car in an Abu Dhabi summer is the worst place to leave a device. Keep it out of direct sun.

Use the supplied USB-C cable, avoid using it while charging, and nothing else needs maintaining.

Can I use two sticks back to back?

Not on an all-in-one. Consecutive uses need a pocket charger to refill the holder in between, which is what the two-piece models have.

Are sticks or a charging plug included?

Neither. The kit has the device, a USB-C cable, a cap cleaning tool and documentation.

Can it use HEETS?

No. HEETS have no metal heating element, so induction has nothing to heat. TEREA sticks only.
