About the flavor

The balance here is the whole product. Cooling comes first, but only just, and the tobacco stays clearly present underneath rather than being buried. Where Black Menthol turns the cold up until the tobacco disappears, and Mint pulls the tobacco back until you’re mostly tasting mint, Menthol keeps both in view at once. That equilibrium is harder to make than either extreme, and it’s why this flavor stays in the range decade after decade while novelty flavors come and go.

The aroma is crisp and slightly sweet, closer to fresh mint leaf than to anything medicinal, with the roasted tobacco just readable behind it. It’s a discreet stick to use around other people, which the heavier menthols in the range are not.

Across a session it holds a steady line rather than shifting through phases. The opening draws are the coolest, the middle settles into the tobacco, and the last few puffs stay consistent instead of thinning out or turning harsh. What’s in the box

How to use

Push the stick into the ILUMA holder printed-end first, without twisting it. Current devices begin heating on their own; older ILUMA models need the button held until the first vibration. A second vibration tells you it’s ready. Draw normally for up to 14 puffs or about six minutes, at 0.5mg of nicotine. The used stick pulls out whole and goes into general waste, with no ash and nothing left inside the device to clean.

What’s the difference between Menthol and Mint?

Mint is lighter and tastes of mint; Menthol is a cooling sensation layered over a clearer tobacco base. Choose Mint if you want refreshment without much tobacco, and Menthol if you want both in balance.

Is this as strong as Turquoise?

They occupy the same slot in their respective editions. The Japanese Menthol comes across as slightly cleaner and less sweet than Turquoise, though the cooling level is comparable.

Will it feel too weak if I usually smoke menthol cigarettes?

Most menthol cigarette smokers find this an even swap. If you specifically smoke the strongest menthols on the market and want that intensity, go to Black Menthol instead.

Is there any fruit or sweetness in it?
