About the flavor

The hierarchy puts tobacco first, dark berry second, and a light floral note third. That ordering is what separates Ruby Fuse from the berry menthols, where the fruit usually leads and the tobacco disappears underneath. Here the tobacco is the structure and the berry is the decoration.

The aroma is the flavor’s signature. The Fuse blends are built to be more fragrant than standard tobacco sticks, and Ruby Fuse gives off a sweet, natural berry scent with a floral lift that’s noticeably pleasant in a room without being heavy. It’s aromatic in a way plain tobacco isn’t, and far less intrusive than a clove or a strong menthol.

Because there’s no capsule, the session runs flat in the best sense: the blend you taste on the first draw is the blend you taste on the fourteenth. Ruby Fuse, Purple or Twilight Pearl?

The Kazakhstan range has three berry-led options and they work in completely different ways.

Ruby Fuse is berry with no cooling and no capsule: one steady aromatic blend, warm throughout. Purple is berry with menthol built in, sweet and cool from the first puff, and the choice if you want the fruit refreshing rather than warming. Twilight Pearl is the capsule version: a smooth tobacco base until you click, then a dark berry release, so you get two experiences in one stick.

Using it

Slide the stick printed-end up into the holder without twisting. Current ILUMA devices begin heating automatically; older models want the button held until the first vibration, with a second vibration signalling ready. Each stick gives up to 14 puffs across roughly 6 minutes at 0.5mg of nicotine, and comes out whole afterwards for general waste. One thing worth doing with this flavor specifically: draw slowly. Ruby Fuse’s floral note is the most delicate element in the blend and a hard, fast pull flattens it into generic sweetness. Slow draws are where the difference between this and an ordinary berry stick actually shows.
