Silver is the most misread flavor in the TEREA range. The colour-name system trains people to expect cooling from anything that isn’t obviously a tobacco name, and Silver sounds like it should be a menthol. It isn’t. Silver is a mild tobacco stick, the lightest in the Kazakhstan lineup, with no menthol, no cooling and no fruit anywhere in it.

What it does have is an aroma layer that no other light tobacco stick offers: a delicate spicy-herb note that sits over toasted tobacco. Philip Morris describes it as a balanced, toasted tobacco blend gently refined with light aroma notes of spicy herbs, and that description is unusually accurate.

About the flavor

The hierarchy runs mild toasted tobacco first, herb aroma second, and nothing else competing. The herb note is the reason people either love this stick or find it too quiet: somewhere between tea leaf and a light kitchen herb, with a hint of bay or thyme about it. It’s a finishing note rather than a dominant one, which is what separates Silver from a heavier aromatic stick like Bronze.

The aroma in a room is clean and short-lived. Silver is one of the most discreet flavors in the entire TEREA catalogue, and that reputation is why so many users pick it for office breaks and shared spaces rather than for the taste alone.

Through a session the herb layer builds rather than fades. The opening draws are mostly clean toasted tobacco, mild and easy on the throat, with the herb barely present. Through the middle the aromatic note comes forward and the stick finds its character. By the final third the herb is at its clearest, and the exhale stays smooth with no lingering aftertaste and no dryness. Fourteen puffs at 0.5mg nicotine, and the whole thing is deliberately restrained.

That restraint is the design brief. Silver is built for repeated use through a working day, where a stronger stick would tire your palate by the afternoon.

Silver, Yellow or Amber?

These three are the light-to-medium tobacco options, and they’re genuinely different rather than three points on one line.

Silver leans herbal. Yellow leans citrus, brighter and zestier at a similar weight. Amber is heavier and rounder, roasted with nutty depth, and the step up from either. If you want more warmth and sweetness instead of more body, Bronze takes it toward cocoa and dried fruit.

If you actually do want menthol, Turquoise is the reference cooling stick in this range and Blue is the mint-forward option. Neither is a substitute for Silver, and Silver is not a substitute for either. The full sixteen-flavor lineup is on our TEREA Kazakhstan flavors page, and every Silver we stock across editions sits on the Silver flavor page.

The Kazakhstan version specifically

Silver is produced for several markets, and the Kazakhstan release is described as slightly fuller-bodied than the Swiss and Italian versions while staying firmly in the mild tier. For a stick this light, that extra body matters: it’s the difference between subtle and barely there.

We also stock Silver in the UAE edition, which comes in Arabic and English packaging at official pricing, and the Armenia edition, which is the cheapest of the three. The blend concept is shared; the price gap comes from tobacco excise in each source market, explained in why imported TEREA costs less. How the five editions differ overall is covered in the TEREA edition comparison, and the whole catalogue sits in our full TEREA sticks range.

In the pack

20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton across 10 packs, with cartons cheaper per stick. Kazakhstan stock is factory-sealed with Kazakh and Russian printing and Kazakhstan health warnings, and the flavor name stays in Latin script so Silver reads as Silver without any Cyrillic. Imported packaging is normal for this edition; a broken seal or a misspelled name is not, and the rest of the checks are in our guide to spotting fake TEREA.

Getting the herb note to show

Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA models start heating automatically, older ones need the button held until the first vibration, and a second vibration means ready. The used stick comes out whole for general waste because nothing burns, which is the Smartcore system explained in how TEREA sticks work.

Two things specific to Silver. Draw gently, because the herb layer is delicate and a hard pull buries it under the tobacco. And if you’re using a Lambda i8 with its adjustable temperature range, the lower end of the scale keeps that aromatic note noticeably clearer than a standard ILUMA setting will.

Devices

Heats in any induction device: IQOS ILUMA One, Standard and Prime, the full ILUMA i series, and Lambda i8, i9 and i10. Blade devices such as the IQOS 3 Duo cannot heat TEREA at all, and every compatible model is listed in our device compatibility guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is TEREA Silver a menthol flavor?

No, and this is the most common misunderstanding about it. Silver is a mild tobacco stick with a spicy-herb aroma. There is no menthol and no cooling sensation in it at all. If you want menthol from this range, Turquoise or Blue are the ones to buy.

Is Silver too weak if I’m switching from cigarettes?

It depends what you smoked. Silver suits people coming from light cigarettes and anyone cutting back gradually. If you smoked full-flavor, start with Amber and keep Silver for evenings or the office.

What do the herbal notes actually taste like?

Closer to tea leaf and light kitchen herbs than to anything sharp. Some people identify bay or thyme in it. The note builds as the session goes rather than hitting you on the first draw.

Does it smell less than other flavors?

Yes, noticeably. It’s one of the most discreet sticks in the range, which is why it gets chosen for offices and shared spaces.

How is Silver different from Yellow?

Silver is herbal, Yellow is citrus. Both are light tobacco sticks of similar weight, so it comes down to which aroma you prefer rather than which is stronger.
