Summer Wave is the peach stick. Nothing else in the TEREA range leads with peach, and that alone makes it worth trying if you’ve worked through the usual berry and citrus options. Ripe peach sits at the centre, floral notes lift it, and a light menthol finish keeps it clean rather than sweet. Philip Morris built it as a seasonal flavor for warm weather, which is a slightly odd idea in a country where it’s warm most of the year.

At around 2.5 out of 5 on intensity, it’s one of the easiest sticks in the Kazakhstan range to start with, and one of the few that works equally well for a first-time user and someone who has tried everything else.

About the flavor

The hierarchy puts peach first, floral notes second, menthol third, and a subdued clean tobacco base underneath holding it together. The peach is the part that surprises people: it reads as sun-ripened fruit rather than the flat, syrupy peach flavouring you get in most products, and it never crosses into artificial. Some tasters also pick up melon and a touch of orange alongside it, which is why descriptions vary between “peach” and “tropical”.

The aroma is light, fruity and inviting before you even heat the stick, and it stays gentle in a room. This is not a flavor that announces itself the way a clove or a strong menthol does.

The session holds remarkably steady, which is unusual for fruit flavors. The opening draws are the sweetest, peach forward with the floral note right behind it. Through the middle the menthol becomes properly noticeable and the fruit settles into balance rather than fading. The final third stays clean with no bitterness and no artificial edge creeping in, finishing cool and lightly sweet. Fourteen puffs, and it doesn’t turn on you at the end the way weaker fruit sticks tend to.

The menthol deserves a specific note: it’s a finish, not a feature. There’s no icy hit and no throat sting, which is exactly why people who find menthol harsh often get on with this one.

Summer Wave or Purple Wave?

The Kazakhstan range carries two Wave flavors and they sit at opposite ends of the fruit spectrum.

Summer Wave is peach and citrus, light, bright and floral. Purple Wave is dark berry, richer and sweeter with a firmer menthol kick. If you want daytime and refreshing, Summer Wave. If you want something with more weight behind it, Purple Wave.

Two other comparisons worth making. Yellow is the simpler citrus option with no menthol at all, so choose it if you want brightness without cooling. Green Zing takes the citrus in a sharper, zestier direction with more cooling than Summer Wave carries. And if you want fruit that changes mid-session rather than staying put, the five Pearl capsule flavors are the alternative, starting with Sun Pearl.

The full sixteen-flavor lineup is on our TEREA Kazakhstan flavors page.

A summer flavor in a place that’s mostly summer

Summer Wave was designed as a seasonal release, and in most markets that means it comes out for a few months and goes away. In the UAE it functions as a year-round daily flavor, and it’s one of the reasons this stick sells better here than its seasonal positioning would suggest.

There’s a practical side to that too. Heavy roasted tobacco flavors can feel like hard work in 45-degree heat, while a light fruit-and-menthol stick doesn’t. If you find yourself reaching for Amber less often in summer, this is usually what people switch to rather than giving up tobacco flavors entirely.

In the pack

20 sticks per pack, 200 per carton across 10 packs, with cartons cheaper per stick. Summer Wave comes in the orange pack that makes it easy to spot in a drawer full of cartons. Kazakhstan stock arrives factory-sealed with Kazakh and Russian printing and Kazakhstan health warnings, and the flavor name stays in Latin script. Imported packaging is normal here; a broken seal or a misspelled name is not, and our guide to spotting fake TEREA covers the checks worth making.

How to use it

Insert the stick printed-end up without twisting. Current ILUMA devices begin heating on their own, older models need the button held until the first vibration, and a second vibration signals ready. Up to 14 puffs across roughly 6 minutes at 0.5mg nicotine, and the spent stick comes out whole for general waste. The mechanism is explained in how TEREA sticks work, with full stick specs in how many puffs are in a TEREA stick.

One thing specific to peach: it’s a delicate fruit note and heat damages it faster than it damages tobacco or menthol. Cartons left in a car through an Abu Dhabi afternoon will lose the peach before they lose anything else, so store them indoors. It’s the same reason we’d suggest buying two or three packs to start rather than a carton if you’re not sure the flavor is for you.

Devices

Works in every induction device: IQOS ILUMA One, Standard and Prime, the whole ILUMA i series, and Lambda i8, i9 and i10. Blade devices including the IQOS 3 Duo cannot heat TEREA at all, and every model is listed in our device compatibility guide.

Delivery

In stock in Abu Dhabi with delivery inside 1 hour across the city, and same-day service to Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Cash on delivery available, free delivery above 200 AED. Kazakhstan is one of our budget-tier editions, and the reason it costs less than UAE stock is explained in why imported TEREA costs less.

Frequently asked questions

Is Summer Wave very menthol?

No. The menthol is a light finish rather than the main event, closer to a cool aftertaste than a cold hit. If you want proper cooling, Turquoise or Green Zing are the ones to look at.

Is it too sweet?

It’s sweet but not sugary. The peach reads as ripe fruit and the light tobacco base keeps it grounded, which is why people who normally avoid fruit flavors often make an exception here.

Is Summer Wave good for beginners?

One of the best in the range for it. Low intensity, no harshness, and a flavor that’s easy to like on the first stick rather than needing a pack to appreciate.

How is it different from Purple Wave?

Summer Wave is peach and citrus, light and floral. Purple Wave is dark berry, sweeter and richer with more menthol behind it. Same family, opposite ends.

Can I get Summer Wave in another edition?

Not in the ranges we stock. Among our five editions it’s Kazakhstan only, which is one of the reasons that edition is worth browsing properly rather than reordering the same flavors from UAE stock.
